Reach More Travelers with the Xola + Project Expedition Integration

Project Expedition is a leading distribution platform that enables tour and activity operators to broaden their reach by selling experiences through a widely used online marketplace. By leveraging this platform, operators can connect with a global audience of travelers seeking curated and high-quality activities.

With the Xola + Project Expedition integration, any reservations made through the Project Expedition marketplace will automatically sync to your Xola dashboard in real time. This ensures your availability remains accurate, reduces the risk of double bookings, and keeps your operations streamlined without the need for manual updates.

 

User Access: Administrator or Curator roles have access to set up Project Expedition in Xola.

Administrator, Reservationist Lite or Reservationist roles can view and modify Project Expedition reservations in Xola. 

Equipment Manager, Guide Manager or Guide roles can only view Project Expedition reservations on the Roster.

How to Get Started

  • Create a Project Expedition Account
  • Install the Integration in Xola

    • Go to the App Store in Xola.
    • Locate the Project Expedition app and click Install.
  • Configure Your Experiences
    • Click Visit Settings Page or navigate to Settings > Apps > Project Expedition > Configure.
    • Select which experiences you’d like Project Expedition to access. This grants them permission to pull availability directly from your Xola account.
  • Complete the Mapping
    • Once enabled, Project Expedition will contact Xola's integrations team to finalize the mapping between your products and their system.

How it Works

  • Experiences that you’ve approved will appear on Project Expedition’s website, allowing customers to make real-time reservations.

  • Those reservations will automatically be pushed into your Xola account, complete with all relevant booking details.

  • Availability will remain up-to-date across both platforms, reducing the risk of overbooking.

Important! All reservations from Project Expedition are auto-accepted in Xola, regardless of any Per-Outing Minimums you have configured. Be sure you are comfortable with this before enabling.


Tips for Success

  • Choose Your Experiences Carefully
    Only enable experiences you want to sell through Project Expedition from the configuration screen in Xola.

  • Keep Schedules Accurate
    Because Project Expedition pulls real-time availability from Xola, make sure your calendars and time slots are up-to-date.

  • Understand Auto-Accept Behavior
    Since reservations are auto-accepted, ensure that your capacity and operations can handle reservations without manual review. Regardless of Per-Outing Minimums you may have set in Xola, Project Expedition will accept the reservation. 

  • Stay in Touch
    After setup, maintain communication with the Project Expedition team to ensure proper mapping and launch.
