Now that your profile and the first experience are set up, we can make your first reservation!
A reservation can be made by your customer through your website or by you through the Xola Back Office. For now, we are going to focus on how you will use the Xola Back Office to complete a reservation and we will discuss online reservations a bit later.
- Click on Dashboard, then click on the green Make a Purchase button in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select the product you want to reserve.
- Enter the number of your demographics, and select the date and time.
- Next, you can add a custom line item. These items are extra charges or discounts that need to be added to the reservation. Toggle the custom line item on and hit the blue + line item.
- Now, fill in the organizer details. You can also search for customers by clicking the Search Customers button next to Name. By default, the organizer attending will always be turned on. However, if the organizer is not attending, then toggle this off and fill in the first attendee's information.
- If the organizer is attending, they will be filled in as the first attendee. You can fill in the names of all other attendees if you want.
- If you have a questionnaire turned on, you can fill out those details here or skip them by toggling the Ignore questionnaire validation errors for now toggle.
- If you want to add more than one product to the reservation, hit the Add Another Product button at the bottom of the page.
- Then select your payment workflow:
- Now: Take the payment now
- Later: Take payment later, there will be a balance due on the purchase.
- Deposit: Have the customer pay a deposit now, and the remaining balance later.
- Split Pay: Have the customer split the payment with other members of the group.
- Now, select the payment method and click the Pay button.
- Congratulations! You’ve just placed your first reservation! The customer you reserved will automatically receive all appropriate communication.
