MailChimp
Sync guest data from Xola into MailChimp
Xola’s integration with MailChimp makes it easy to stay connected with your customers even after their initial reservation. With this setup, customer email addresses are automatically added to your MailChimp mailing list so that you can send follow-up messages, newsletters, and marketing campaigns with ease.

How it Works
Once the integration is set up:
-
Every time a customer places a reservation in Xola, their email address is captured.
-
That email is either:
-
Automatically added to your selected MailChimp list, or
-
Used to send an opt-in email, allowing customers to choose whether to subscribe.
-
Opt-In vs. Automatic Subscription
-
Automatic Add
-
The customer is silently added to your MailChimp list with no confirmation required.
-
They will not receive a notification.
-
-
Opt-In Prompt
-
Customers receive a prompt alongside their confirmation email asking if they'd like to join your mailing list.
-
The opt-in message looks like this:
-
Note: The integration only applies to standard reservations. It does not include emails from Gift purchases at this time.
Tips for Success
-
Stay compliant with email marketing laws (like GDPR) by using the opt-in feature, especially for international customers.
-
Use MailChimp’s tools to schedule welcome emails, special offers, or event reminders.
-
Regularly review your MailChimp performance reports to see open rates, click-throughs, and engagement metrics.
