CityPASS

By integrating CityPASS with Xola, you can automate voucher redemption, speed up check-ins, and get real-time visibility into redemptions—all from your Xola dashboard. No need to manually verify or track CityPASS tickets anymore. With this setup, CityPASS guests can simply show their ticket at check-in. If they’ve booked in advance through Xola, they’ll be checked in automatically. If not, Xola creates a new booking on the spot and checks them in.

How to Get Started

Contact CityPASS

Start by letting your CityPASS account rep know you'd like to set up the integration with Xola. If you're not yet a CityPASS partner, learn more at citypass.com/partners.

Connect CityPASS in Xola

In your Xola account:

  • Go to App Store Tab, find CityPASS, and click Install.

  • Install the Redemption App and QR Code Scanning apps as well.

  • Then, go to Settings > Apps > CityPASS, click Configure, and select the experience you want to link.

Note: CityPASS supports only one connected experience per account.
Once you've configured the app, CityPASS and Xola will work together to enable the integration.

Once you have connected, contact your CityPASS account rep. They’ll configure the connection in your Xola account.

Both Xola and CityPASS will run test redemptions to make sure everything is working correctly. Once testing is complete, your integration is ready to go live.

How it Works

Once the integration is active, guests can either book in advance or walk in with their CityPASS. Here’s how each scenario works:

If the guest books through the CityPASS website:

  • Their reservation will appear in your Xola Dashboard and under the Purchases tab.

  • When they arrive, they'll show the QR code from their confirmation email.

  • Your staff will scan the QR code using the Redemption App.

  • The guest is checked in automatically, and Xola confirms if the ticket is valid.

If the guest hasn’t made a reservation:

  • They can still walk in and present their CityPASS voucher.

  • Your staff can scan the voucher code using the Redemption App.

  • Xola will instantly validate the voucher, recognize the linked experience, and create a new booking.

  • Pricing is applied automatically, and the new reservation appears in your Dashboard and Purchases tab.

All CityPASS redemptions are clearly tagged in your Xola reports, making it easy to track usage and reconcile with CityPASS.

Tips for Success

  • Make sure staff knows how to process CityPASS QR Codes with the Redemption App—especially for walk-ins or check-ins.
  • If you have redemption or capacity limits for CityPASS, set those up in Xola or work with CityPASS to manage them.
  • If you update your experience details (name, duration, pricing), let CityPASS know so they can make changes on their end too.
  • In Xola reporting, filter by CityPASS to see how the integration is performing.
